Christine Mackinnon grew up in Glasgow, and has been heading steadily south since leaving university.

Stopping just short of the Channel, she has lived in a market town in Kent for 25 years.

She lives alarmingly close to a lake, and is on speed-dial to Floodline Alert.

The banner picture is not the lake in question, or she really would be in trouble.

The picture above shows Christine at Grenen, the very end of Denmark, in the town of Skagen.

Go there. Eat smorrebord.
